Ram is expanding its truck lineup with two new editions.
The first is the luxurious 2018 Laramie Longhorn Southfork and the second is the Heavy Duty Lone Star Silver Edition. Both made their grand debuts this week at the .
Ram Laramie Longhorn Southfork
The Laramie Longhorn Southfork Edition is the new top-level Ram trim that builds off the popular 1500, 2500 and 3500 series.
It adds a longhorn flare with Canyon Brown and Light Frost Beige full-grain leather upholstery with Ruby Red stitching in the cabin. Ram even wraps the pillar grab handles in leather.
The luxurious details don’t end there. The headliner and fold-down sun visors are in Light Greystone suede. The steering wheel adds walnut accenting matching the rest of the cabin accenting and that red stitching.
Chrome Longhorn lettering goes across the tailgate. An optional exterior paint choice that completes the look – aka if you get the longhorn get this – is a new two-tone walnut brown.
The 1500 Longhorn starts at $52,615 while the 2500 Heavy Duty Longhorn starts at $57,015.
Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Lone Star Silver
Now if you want the fancy Ram 2500 Lone Star Silver HD Edition, there is one pre-requisite. You have to live in the Lone Star State. It will only arrive in Texas Ram dealerships.
It takes the popularity of the current 1500 Lone Star Edition and moves it to the Heavy Duty truck. Its grille includes an aluminum Lone Star badge.
Inside, the cabin features cloth and vinyl seats in the same Canyon Brown and Light Frost Beige hues of the Longhorn edition – just not in leather. There is also a Black and Diesel Gray upholstery option.
The Lone Star Silver HD starts at $46,130.
Production begins in the third quarter at its plants in Michigan and Mexico. Look for both editions to arrive with the 2018 Ram lineup.
