Cadillac is now taking orders for its largest SUV, the three-row XT6 thatís expected in showrooms this summer. Pricing starts from $53,690 for the Premium Luxury FWD model. The lineup also includes the XT6 Sport, with standard Sport Control AWD, which starts at $58,090 (including destination charge). Note the base CT6 model is priced slightly higher than the also soon-to-launch Lincoln Aviator but the Aviatorís prices stretch up to nearly $90K and its lineup includes a plug-in hybrid option.)
Premium Luxury and Sport Trims
Based on the same platform GMC Acadia, bright Galvano exterior accents distinguish the Premium Luxury model, while the XT6 Sport is defined by gloss black accents and more aggressive, performance-inspired details. Both models feature advanced lighting technology, including vertically emphasized LED signatures.
Cadillac also says a greater emphasis on ďroad isolationĒ is placed on the Premium Luxury, while a greater feeling of agility is dialed into the Sportís chassis tuning. To that end the Sport gets standard all-wheel drive but itís front-wheel drive for the entry-level Premium Luxury trim.

All models in North America are powered by a 3.6L V6 that delivers 310-horsepower and featuring direct injection, Active Fuel Management and Stop/Start technologies. It is matched with a nine-speed automatic transmission controlled via Cadillacís Electronic Precision Shift, which uses electronic controls in place of a conventional mechanical linkage.
Aforementioned all-wheel drive is available on Premium Luxury and a performance-oriented Sport Control AWD system is standard on XT6 Sport. The Sport model also features standard Continuous Damping Control (CDC) Active Sport Chassis suspension to deliver greater control and agility.
While the GMC Arcadia and the Cadillac XT5 (and I would bet the new Chevy Blazer) are based on the same chassis, I believe the "platform" for the XT6 is the same used by Buick, the Enclave and Chevrolet, the Traverse. I thought I read somewhere about these platforms... something like C4, C5 and C6. That might not be exactly correct but it does explain the Cadillac line up and now the Chevy line up as well.
