A new high-performance luxury Cadillac hits the road in 2019, and with a new V-8 under the hood, it will it be worth the wait.
2019 Cadillac CT6 V-Sport
The new 2019 Cadillac CT6 V-Sport will arrive equipped with the brandís exclusive new twin-turbo V-8 engine. Matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission, it will kick out 550-horsepower and 627 lb.-ft of torque.
The V-Sport comes with summer performance tires, a mechanical limited-slip rear differential and specially tuned suspension for improved roll control and cornering.
Itís all-wheel drive with 19-inch Brembo brakes developed specifically for the V-Sport high-performance model.
CT6 V-Sport Design
The CT6 V-Sport marks the first in a series of new Cadillac performance vehicles. Itís based on Cadillacís range-topping CT6 sedan and will come in Luxury and Sport trims.
The V-Sport model picks up cues from Cadillacís Escala concept with its new ďVĒ-inspired mesh grille.
The side skirts are sportier than the standard CT6 and its eyes are new headlamps. In the back, new taillights create an upside down L shape. The V-Sport also features black window trim, ďVĒ badging, and 20-inch multi-spoke wheels.
In the Cabin
Inside youíll find leather upholstery, carbon-fiber trim as well as Cadillacís upgraded infotainment system. It comes with a 10-inch infotainment screen with a new rotary controller.
Just like the current CT6, the V-Sport model will offer a suite of active safety features. They include Forward Collision Alert, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward/Reverse Automatic Braking, and Safety Alert Seat.
There are some new offerings, too. Available Rear Pedestrian Detection checks for pedestrians behind you. Also, an available industry-first Surround Vision Recorder video recording system records front and rear views while driving, and 360 degrees of recording if the carís security system is activated. , Cadillacís new semi-autonomous driving technology, wonít be offered on the V-Sport.
The new CT6 V-Sport rolls out in the first half of 2019.
