Hello Sue, After checking in with the dealership, we were informed that there could have been a misunderstanding about the amount of time taken for the trade offer, and they do apologize. Also, it seemed there was some sort of miscommunication regarding the availability of the vehicle of interest in their inventory, and they do regret that this occurred as well. Called and made an appointment to meet with the salesman-CJ and took the Ascent Limited out for a test drive then came back to the office. It took 2.5 hrs to obtain a trade-in value for our vehicle even though I presented them with a KBB offer(because it was dated 1/29/19, 2 weeks old). Then met with the internet salesman-Mike who was more interested in telling us his life history and making rude comments about the salesman-CJ. We were told when we asked if we could go to lunch and talk about the purchase and Mike informed us that "once we leave the sales lot that the offer is null and void. My husband and I went out to our vehicle and talked about it and went back to inform the salesman that we decided to look around a little more. Mike became very irritated and then said if "we change our minds that the offer is good for 72 hours". We had driven 2 hours to Elk Grove and were told over the phone that they had a variety of Ascent Limited inventory. They had one! Not a good first time experience with using the CarProUSA priority pass. Then over the past 3 days post leaving the dealership, we have received at least 4 calls from the salesman stating that if we changed our minds "they could probably sharpen their pencil".

That we ended up putting purchasing a vehicle on hold had absolutely nothing to do with Pam and Elk Grove Subaru. I visited them as an information-gathering exercise as we tried to decide what to do for our daughter as she goes off to college. Pam was excellent. She was totally straight-forward, patient, and professional. She detailed potential options for me, always considerate of our parameters, which were very restrictive. She showed me the vehicle invoices and we had a very frank but respectful discussion. She has also followed up with me in a completely professional and appropriate manner. Overall, I was so impressed that, since making our decision not to purchase a car for our daughter, I find myself looking forward to purchasing my next vehicle from Elk Grove Subaru. Well done.
